What is a private invitation and why do I need it?
Every foreigner who wishes to visit relatives or friends living in Ukraine is obliged to obtain visa. Visitor visa is issued on the basis of guest invitation. Private invitation for a foreigner to Ukraine is a document, thanks to which a foreigner gets Ukrainian visa. Main purpose of guest invitation is visiting relatives, who permanently or currently reside in Ukraine. Invitation for guest to Ukraine gives a foreigner assurance of unimpeded entry and exit to Ukraine.
Grounds for issuing a private invitation:
- citizen of Ukraine willing to invite a foreigner to Ukraine for the purpose of a guest visit.
- foreigner with residence permit in Ukraine who wants to invite a foreigner to Ukraine for the purpose of a visit.
- citizen of Ukraine who wants to invite a foreigner for the purpose of family reunification.
- foreigner with a residence permit in Ukraine who wishes to invite a foreigner for the purpose of family reunification.

- foreigner with a residence permit in Ukraine who wants to invite a foreigner for the purpose of marriage.

Then submit a special application, the text of this statement shall not contain any corrections and abbreviations. Enclose a list of documents and pay for the service in the amount established by the Company.
After expiration of the established term, get the invitation for a foreigner, and be happy to wait for foreign guest.
Documents for registration of private invitation for foreigner in Ukraine:
- Foreigner’s passport (photo or copy/copy of passport);
- information on foreigner’s place of residence abroad (in English) — country, city, street and house/apartment number;
- passport of citizen of Ukraine of the host country and identification code;
- if the host country is not a citizen of Ukraine, but a resident, either a temporary residence permit or a permanent residence permit in Ukraine is needed
- information on foreigner’s place of residence in Ukraine — it can be a hotel or a place of residence of the receiving party, but based on the experience in this area it is better to have the same place of residence as the registration of the place of residence of a citizen or a resident of Ukraine
- information on the dates of stay in Ukraine (date of entry and exit).
